Every time we've been to the Queensway location, the food was exceptional. We've never been disappointed and we've been very pleased with the service.
The quality of the food was appalling, had the Veal chop of dubious origin, totally inedible, dry and tough, the waiter tried to compensate with a piece of stale chessecake for free, a complete and utter disaster. I will not be back.
The food & service at the Queensway location was excellent but when my husband & I went to the Islington location for our 25th anniversary we were very disappointed in both the food & especially the service. We will definitely go back to the Queensway locatiom and have recommended it to all our friends. As a matter of fact there are six of us going in the next couple of weeks. Marie
Rocco's Plum Tomato has been a favourite restaurant for the last 14 years. I used to work nearby and nearly every celebration we had was at Rocco's , even the very last one when our business closed. However, lucky for us Rocco's is still there. This Thursday my partner and myself along with 5 of our friends are coming for dinner before we leave on a holiday in to the Dominican. Last year we came for dinner before our trip to Sedona....we love it , love it , love it. Thanks Rocco Kelly MacMillan and Friends
Generally, the food at all the Rocco's Plum Tomato restaruants are good however, it is the service that is hit and miss. Due to the on-going questionable service, my family and I will never go back to the Islington location. On the other hand, the Queensway location seems to be well managed ...perhaps becasue the Rocco (the owner) is usually there to over see the business. Only downside to the Queensway location is a lack of convenient parking. The Queensway location has great food and great service. It is nice that Rocco comes around from time to time to speak directly with his customers at their tables.
My husband and I enjoyed it very much. going to be the last. We enjoyed the bread and olives at the table. He ordered the Lasagna, and I orderd the Shrimp & Scallop Risotto. Both were excellent! He thought maybe there should have been an option of a meat lasagna, but other than that he loved it. If it wasn' for the breads, it might not have filled us up, but other than that the food was excellent, the service great, fairly good prices, and we'll defintely be back. Stephanie
I read the reviews on the internet and was impressed. I thought I would give it a try. Well, my wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal! The insalata was superb with very sumptuous greens. The main courses were also very tasty. With great service (the wait was never more then 5-10 minutes for any order and the waitress was very helpful) ,reasonable prices and a delicious dinner this restaurant comes highly recommended. We will go back.
I love this restaurant, this location in particular has a lovely, cozy ambiance, and great food too. I was here for New Year's last year and had a lovely time. Plan to go there again this year.
The restaurant itself is very colourful, they have a variety of dishes to choose from, each meal is very tasty and reasonably priced. The service is fantastic, the people tend to you like your own personal chef they create an atmosphere that makes you come back and better yet tell others about this great restaurant. I have been going here to this location since 2006 and have told many of my freinds and family. We have even held special occasions here and have not been dissapointed. Thanks Rocco's plum tomato for a great experience.
I have been there on many occassions and have enjoyed my meal each time. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent service. Also the take out section - veal sandwiches the best in Toronto, great quality and quantity for a cheap price.
Great ambiance. Great food. Perfect!
Delicious. Love the quaint, casual italian decor. Big portions. We had the angel hair chicken pasta, pasta stuffed with butternut squash, eggplant appetizer, and portobella mushroom appetizer. All very good, except one of the appetizers came with a piece of moldy tomato, and the waitress didn't even apologize. Overall Awesome food but not great service.
I have been eating at Rocco's Plum Tomato Trattoria on the Queensway for over 10 years. The food has always been fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. I especially enjoy the bread served at the table. The serving staff are always courteous, efficient and accommodating. I think you should have a motto It's worth the drive to Rocco's in Etobicoke as I travel from Markham to Etobicoke as much as possible to indulge in this excellent establishment. Maureen Kelly
