Red Lobster Restaurants

We regularly visit the Queensway location as a family because of the ease with which one can find parking. We always found the service exemplary and we were always visited by the shift manager during our meal who checked to see that everything was fine..We were even given a free dessert when our food arrived on the 'cool' side on a busy night..They probably didn't have to do that but they did and we appreciated the gesture of cultivating customer loyalty. We went back for the first time after their renovation and found the atmosphere quite different and not to the better...the sought after cheese biscuits didn't arrive until the meal was well underway(the restaurant was not busy) and our starter(we ordered the four course specials) was not hot and I have never see clam chowder so watery, unless they milked it down to get enough to fill the order before preparing more...We didn't complain but the waitress did ask how it was and we told her...Normally, that would have triggered a visit from the manager but it did not..The rest of the meal was fine but we didn't feel like we were appreciated customers. Even when we left no one asked us if we enjoyed our meal and that seemed to be quite standard when you passed the girls that normally seat patrons..We did get the 'have a good evening' routine..The only explanation could be that there was new management and a new attitude that came with the new renovation but we were not impressed..This was the first time that we felt like we didn't want to come back.

we went as a party of 10 and the service was great fun and at the speed we requested. the food was delicious and we had a large variety to try. an altogether enjpyable evening.
